Its Alive


Finally released this version for the GameBoy DMG, was having a few issues, also I was flipping back and forth between this version and my Master System Version. This was coded in C using the awesome GBDK 2020 library, which enables you to code your game once and port it to the Gamegear, Master System, NES and Gameboy and Gameboy color. Which is why it was taking me longer. The graphics I thought, would be the easy part, but seeing as I was creating a Gameboy version. I needed to test things out with the gameboy colour palette. This resulted in some graphics needing to be modified to show nicely with the green palette. Then just when I thought I could release it, I found the controls were kind of awful. So I decided to test the master system version on my megaDrive and found the controls bad on there also. So this version has movement assist code. And I also couldn't help creating some more sound effects for the gameboy, have to be careful when playing with sounds as I can loose a lot of time, trying to find something that fits. I use the soundmaker rom in gbdk for the gameboy to help create my in game sounds I have the ROM on my gameboy color and can just tweek and listen then type down the numbers in a text file for later.
