Goomba BreakOut is a Bat and Ball style game for the Super Nintendo. The full version has 20 levels to play, where as the Demo only has 5, for you to get a feel of what to expect. The aim of the game is to clear each level of the Goombas, by smacking a ball of fire or 4 at them. There are 3 different power ups you can win, which are extra ball, large bat or protective border, up to 4 balls can be bouncing around at any 1 time. The protective border forms behind your bat, but gets broken down after each hit. Getting another powerup of the same, will replace all broken tiles. The game was originally an idea, I came up with on my SNES C Programming video series, that I thought I would turn in to a full game. The only buttons in the game to be aware of is 'Start' to pause the game. If you find any bugs then please let me know, by posting up here and I will get them sorted.

Nice :) We will keep an eye on that one!

Its still going on, hopefully will be in a finished state soon. Good luck with your MAG, looks good. Hopefully I will have some stuff for you to check out in the future. Currently also working on a GameBoy Advanced port of one of my DS games, when it is in a more finished state, I will post it up for people to check out - which might be next week sometime.

Can we ask you to upload a free clean screenshots of you game? :) We could then easily grab them and shameless use them to illustrate your game in our magazinne :) Thank you!

PS: There can never be enough GBA homebrews :)

Sorry about that, there were screenshots, but I did'nt have them set to display. I will hopefully post up my GBA game tomorrow, once I have created some graphics for its page. It is a Sonic Based Game, based on MegaDrive Sonic games and assets.

you gotta be careful with unlicensed fanwork. many companies do not appreciate that.

This is a fun idea - although it might be better to redesign the Goombas and have them as a hidden skin/option.

Thanks for your comment, I think it will make a fun little game. I am not quite sure what you mean though, do you mean having normal bricks - but with the picture of the Goombas on them?

I personally think it is best not to use Goombas at all - but that is your choice. Bricks would be simpler, but maybe a cute enemy in the style of the Goombas/Mario enemies?

I'm reacting similarly... mostly from a commercial perspective, citing Nintendo, and mainly due to the characters.
